2024 Field Season Projects
The Idaho Wilderness Foundation has a full season of projects in the backcountry that we are thrilled to support this year.

Project ONE
June - Bowery Creek
IWF provided pack support in the Jim McClure / Jerry Peak Wilderness area for the Montana Conservation Corp to remove fencing from retired grazing allotments along the trail and near the summit. This project was right along our mission of keeping public lands accessible to the public! Fun was had by all on our first ba
Project TWO
June / July - Fall Creek
IWF provided pack support in the Fall Creek area for the Montana Youth Conservation Corps to clear difficult trail and overgrown brush near a campground, furthering our goal to keep Idaho wilds accessible to all!
Project THREE
July / August -Pioneer Mountains
IWF provided pack support for the MCC to continue doing trail breaking and maintenance up in Bella's and Clear Lakes area of the Pioneer Mountains. This was a continuation of the work started in 2022- see the 2022 Projects tab for a map of where we worked.
