Idaho Wilderness Foundation Projects - 2019

Betty Lake - Copper Basin

Pack-assisted trail reclaimation

Sawyer Training

We are certified to train others!

Project 1

Betty Lake - Copper Basin

Betty Lake is one of our favorite lakes. It's location awards it as one of the highest elevation lakes in Idaho with breathtaking views of the Pioneer Mountains. Our project was to reclaim a trail that had meandered into the lake and restore it's original route. This project was completed in partnership with the SCA.

Project 2

Sawyer Training

This Sawyer training took place in Garden Valley, Boise with the Firefighter and Ranger District over two days last year. Now our staff is certified to evaluate and train others using cross cut saws . This was required so that we could do our critical work in the backcountry and include people who want to participate!
